✨ Victorian Funded Kinder: Free Kinder available for 3 & 4 year oldsLearn about Free Kinder

Our philosophy

A place to feel safe, seen and ready to grow.

We believe children learn best through trusted relationships, uninterrupted play and the freedom to explore their own ideas at their own pace.

Meet our educators

A family centre, in every sense

More than care. A community that knows your name.

Magic Garden has been a small, family-owned childcare centre for more than 17 years. Some educators have been part of the centre for more than half that time, creating the continuity and familiar relationships that help young children feel secure.

Being small is one of our greatest strengths. Parents, grandparents and children become familiar with the educators across the centre. Conversations are personal. Transitions are thoughtfully supported. Everyone has a genuine sense of belonging.

What guides us

Our values show up in the everyday moments.

✦

Safety & wellbeing

Emotional and physical safety come first, supported by qualified educators trained in First Aid, Child Protection and safe sleep practices.

●

Belonging

Every child and family deserves to feel valued, respected and connected, regardless of culture, language, identity or ability.

↗

Play & agency

Children are capable learners. We offer time, choices and meaningful opportunities to follow interests and test ideas.

∞

Partnership

Families are children’s first and most influential teachers. Shared knowledge helps us provide consistent, responsive care.

A creative play-based learning environment at Magic Garden

Learning with purpose

A thoughtful program built around real children.

Our emergent curriculum begins with observation: what children notice, wonder about, practise, enjoy and bring from home. Educators use those insights to plan play-based experiences that extend learning without rushing it.

  • Guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
  • An ongoing cycle of observation, planning, documentation and reflection
  • Intentional support for language, movement, creativity, resilience and self-help skills
  • Regular communication that makes learning visible to families
